No! Our spas are a remarkably simple, yet durable design that has been around for 30 years. Its design is unique in that it is barrier free (no traditional stiff seats like an acrylic tub). The tubs are soft which make them incredibly comfortable.
Each location and package level is different. Our Basic packages can be set up in as little as 30 minutes but the Social and Experience take longer. Because of varying factors, we book two hour windows for your spa setup.
Our two day package encompasses a 48 hour window. If you book at 1pm on Friday, we'll pick up at 1pm on Sunday. The weeklong package works the same way. If you book at 1pm Friday, we'll pick up the following Friday at the same time. Keep in mind your rental period includes setup but not teardown.
This is the best part of our service. Your spa will be hot and ready to use immediately after we finish setup!
Nope! One of the most unique aspects of our spas is that they plug into a standard 120V/15A three prong grounded outlet. Per our booking requirements, an outlet is required within 35 feet of your setup location.
Not significantly. The hot tub motor uses about 4 kWh of electricity per day (assuming average air temperature of 65°F). At Seattle City Light’s highest electrical rate of 14¢ kWh, you can expect your electricity cost for a two day rental to be about $1.
Sometimes. One of the best features of our service is how quickly we can deliver and setup a hot tub. This includes water. That being said, depending on location and delivery schedule, we require access to an exterior water spigot within 100 feet of our delivery vehicle.
Excluding your water utilities base rate and calculated from an off peak rate of $5.40/CCF, our 220 spa costs approximately $1.50 to fill. The 300 spa costs approximately $1.98.
Yes, for many reasons but mostly due to sanitization. We also require an area on or near your property to dispose of said water.
Water weighs a lot (our 220 spa filled is 1838 lbs. The 300 weighs 2390 lbs). Therefore, the spa must be placed on a flat, level and sturdy surface. Backyards, decks, and patios are perfect but use your imagination. As long as there is electricity and we can get hot water to the site, you’re good.
Our Basic 220/300 spa package requires a 6/6.5 ft diameter footprint respectively. The Social 220/300 requires 8/8.5 ft respectively. The Experience package requires a 10x10 ft space.
As awesome as this sounds, it is very unlikely. Most roofs aren’t designed to support the weight of a full hot tub. Also, if we can’t get water to your location, it kind of defeats the purpose right?
While we certainly don't recommend an indoors setup, it can be done. Things we ask you to consider before requesting an indoors location are: Are the floors ok getting wet? Is the area properly ventilated? Will the steam from the tub damage your walls or ceiling? During our set-up/teardown process, there will be water moved to and from and around the area. Is it ok getting wet?
Nope! However, we ask that when the spa isn’t being used that you place the provided floating hot tub sanitizer into the water.
We initially treat your spa water with very small amounts of granular chlorine (think 2 teaspoons). After that, we use a mineral purifier which destroys bacteria in the spa and makes the water feel softer. As a result, our spas are treated with 3-5 times less chlorine than a traditional hot tub.
NO! The use of personal bubbles and salts etc. can damage the spa liner and motor. Any and all use of personal additives is prohibited.
Maximum water temperature is 104℉.
This is not a “one size fits all” answer. At the end of the day, you are responsible for the health and well being of your children. When you permit children to use the spa under your supervision, consider reducing the spa temperature to 98℉.
The CPSC recommends a maximum soak time of 15 minutes.
